Frequently Asked Questions
What is your photography style?
We shoot to create a story. We photograph in a documentary style, capturing all of the details in a way that portrays a realistic series of images from your day. We limit our focus on posing, and concentrate on the real moments that make your day what it is.
Do you do portrait sessions?
Yes! We love to take lifestyle couple and family portraits with a very natural and candid feel that is true to your wonderful, movement filled lives.
Are you willing to customise a package if none of yours fits our needs?
Absolutely, just send us an email with your requirements and we will do our best to accommodate you.
How much is your booking fee?
We charge a 50% deposit that will be your booking fee.
Can I make additional payments in the lead up to the photo session?
Yes! If you wanted to make payments in a few lump sums in the lead up to your photo session we are happy for you to do so. Please be sure to notify us of this via email so we can keep an eye out for your payment and send you a receipt.
Do I receive digital files?
Absolutely. No matter which photography package you choose, you will receive a set of high-resolution print-ready digital files in .jpg format. Also provided is a set of low resolution images for sharing on social media. Files are not watermarked, they are yours to keep and use as you wish.
Are the images we receive edited?
They are all edited to fit within our style and brand. We like our images to appear natural and represent the day as it was. All images delivered are individually edited to correct colours, adjust exposures, added saturation and vibrancy to make the images pop, and our signature looks. All images are supplied in colour, with a selection of images also supplied as black and whites edits.
Do you supply photo books?
Absolutely yes – you can view the photo books here. We love looking at a printed photo any day over one on a computer monitor! Photos are at their best when printed in albums or beautifully framed and hung on walls. The photo book helps tell the story of the day through a selection of handpicked favourites.
If you do choose to purchase one of our photo books (and we hope you do!), the images that appear in the printed album receive additional retouching, i.e. skin smoothing, removal of spots/blemishes and anything else we notice.
How do you design a photo book?
You simply tell us your favourite photos and we will design a photo book based around them. You get to proof the design online and then we just make changes until you are totally happy with it.
How long does it take to receive the images?
Usually between 4-8 weeks. We always place a sneak peek photo up on our Facebook page and Instagram within a week of the day so that you can have a photo to share with family and friends.
What is the best time of day for our bridal party location photographs and bridal portraits?
The best time for the bridal party location shoot is when the sun drops a little lower in the sky so the light isn’t so harsh. The middle of the day when the sun is beating down from above, casts harsh unflattering shadows and can result in squinty-eyed photos. Late afternoon is the absolute best time of day for photos, particularly the last hour before sunset.
How can we pay?
I accept bank transfers and payments through Paypal.
Cancellation Policy – if we cancel, will we receive our booking fee back?
Unfortunately, no. The booking fee is used to reserve your date. Once we have reserved your date, we do not accept new clients for that date.
Changing Dates – if we change our wedding date, will we be able to use our booking fee towards another date?
Generally yes, but this is taken on a case by case basis, depending on our availability.
Are you LGBT+ friendly?
YES! Love is love.
